On September 7th, 2023 The Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with SSA 27 and Friends of Lakeview, unveils the 2023 Master Plan, a transformative roadmap aimed at fostering a more vibrant and resilient neighborhood, which will unfold over the next 7-10 years. This visionary initiative is a result of the collective efforts and dedication of the Lakeview and Roscoe Village communities. Rooted in collaboration and community engagement, this Master Plan builds upon the foundation laid by a previous plan, developed 12 years ago, to guide the growth and development of these unique Chicago neighborhoods.
International Women’s Night Out
On Wednesday, March 6th, from 6-7:30 PM join us for our fourth annual Women's History Month Celebration at VOLO Restaurant to honor all things women. International Women’s Night Out is the perfect time to reflect on how you can empower yourself and the women around you. We will be hosting this year’s event at VOLO Wine Bar with Jennifer Ramirez from &Rise, which is a nonprofit organization that empowers women to be the best version of themselves by offering safe spaces to heal, learn, and grow. Jennifer will share her inspiring story and will also lead us in several gratitude journal prompts to inspire you towards your future. Come connect with other women and enjoy a night out!

Hopeful in tone, LIKE provides a dynamic learning opportunity for engagement by weaving in the stories and reflections of young people, their families and the perspectives of both brain scientists, mental health experts and tech creators, who explain how our online behavior is affected by algorithms, from being compelled to respond to notifications, to manipulating ourselves to gain more 'likes'.
SSA 27 COMMUNITY EVENTS & PLACEMAKING GRANT
The Community Events & Placemaking Grant Program funded by Lakeview Special Service Area 27 is now accepting applicants for 2024!
The goal of the Program is to support the development of more events and public programming serving our community while creating memorable experiences. By doing so, we are able to promote the neighborhood and provide support and funding for special events, ongoing public programming, and creative placemaking activities. If you are interested in receiving funding for an event right here in Lakeview, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
